Panavally

Panavally is part of the inhabited countryside of the Thirunelly panchayat in northern Wayanad. Local life here is closely associated with the school, postal connections and neighbouring rural settlements. The local government lower-primary school is a familiar community landmark, and the settlement has its own branch-post-office name under PIN 670646. The wider panchayat is known for a history of paddy cultivation, later agricultural diversification and communities living among extensive wooded areas. Panavally links the agricultural hinterland with the roads serving smaller northern Wayanad communities. Alathoor and Chembakamoola are useful neighbouring references on this side of the panchayat.
